Samsung has commenced the rollout of the stable version of One UI 7 to eligible Galaxy users in both the U.S. and Europe. This highly anticipated update initially appears for users of the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. Following a lengthy wait and various beta releases, Samsung has finally delivered this update which is set to expand to more devices in the coming weeks. Users in the U.S. and Europe faced a short delay, waiting an additional three days for the stable version to become available.
However, Samsung has confirmed that the rollout began widely on April 10, consistent with their previously announced rollout strategy. The initial distribution of the software update aligns with phases seen in Korea, granting first access to devices like the S24 series and the Z Fold 6. Many users eagerly anticipated new features highlighted in the beta versions, with the One UI 7 update reportedly around 5.2GB in size and including Samsung’s April security patch. This update promises enhancements in AI capabilities, featuring improved writing tools and image generation.
One significant change users will notice is the redesigned Notification panel. Samsung has separated toggles and notifications, allowing for customization of a unified panel. Additionally, One UI 7 introduces a vertically scrolling app drawer and the “Now Bar” at the bottom of the lock screen for easier access to media controls and ongoing actions. For those not seeing the update yet, Samsung is gradually rolling out the changes, expected to reach older models like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and S22 series by May.
As the rollout unfolds, patience is advised as many users will receive the update in phases.
