RedMagic has unveiled its latest gaming phone, the RedMagic 10 Air, which aims to captivate mobile gamers seeking high performance without the bulk typically associated with such devices. Slimmer than most flagship gaming phones, the RedMagic 10 Air is equipped with top-tier hardware, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor alongside a RedCore R3 co-processor designed to manage background tasks like audio and lighting. This innovative setup helps maintain performance while preventing overheating during prolonged gaming sessions. Cooling efficiency is a standout feature of the RedMagic 10 Air.
It features a 9-layer ICE Cooling System that incorporates liquid metal and a vapor chamber—technologies more commonly found in gaming laptops. This advanced cooling system ensures the device remains stable and consistent even during extended gameplay, preventing performance dips. The device also boasts a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness level of up to 1,600 nits, ensuring sharp visuals in various lighting conditions. The touch response is designed for responsiveness, featuring a 2,000Hz sampling rate and 520Hz shoulder triggers that enhance gameplay precision.
Battery life should not be a concern, as the RedMagic 10 Air can last up to 28 hours with regular use, thanks to its 6,000mAh battery. Moreover, it supports fast charging for quick energy replenishment. In addition to its raw power, the phone includes smart AI features like real-time voice translation and customizable shortcuts via a Magic Key for improved user experience. Aesthetically, it offers a stylish matte metal frame and a fingerprint-resistant glass back, with RGB lighting to highlight its gaming identity.
Currently available in China, the RedMagic 10 Air starts at 3,499 RMB (approximately $476) and will see a global release slated for April 23, 2025.
