Samsung has resumed the rollout of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24, starting in South Korea on April 17. This new build comes after the initial release was halted just days earlier due to a serious bug that affected users’ ability to unlock their devices.
The previous rollout began on April 10 in regions such as the U.S. and Europe, where it included updates for devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. The restart of One UI 7 has been highlighted by a post from a user on X, noting its availability for the Galaxy S24 series.
However, users outside South Korea may have to wait longer for the update. The build to be on the lookout for is version vS928NKSU4BYD9.
Interestingly, this update has a file size of about 292MB, considerably smaller than the original 5GB download offered during the initial rollout, which could affect users who had already experienced the previous update. The tumultuous rollout for One UI 7 saw Samsung pausing the update due to a critical issue.
A significant number of users encountered problems related to unlocking their devices, prompting Samsung to halt the update not only in the U.S. and Europe but also in China and Vietnam. The company has since indicated adjustments to its rollout schedule.
According to reports from users, there are indications that One UI 7 could be available later in April for the Galaxy S24 series, with older devices possibly receiving updates in May. As Samsung works to ensure stability with this new version, it remains important for users to stay informed about the latest updates.
