Boox has introduced the Go 7 series of color eReaders, aiming to compete with major players like Kobo and Amazon. The latest models, Go 7 and Go Color 7 (Gen II), feature vibrant 7-inch screens that cater to different reading preferences.
The Go Color 7 is equipped with a Kaleido 3 display, designed for rich colors, while the Go 7 has a traditional monochrome display. These eReaders not only excel in display quality but also support handwriting features through the Boox InkSense stylus, making them versatile tools for reading and note-taking.
They run on Android 13, allowing users to install apps from the Google Play Store, and come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The Go 7 series is lightweight, with both models weighing just 195 grams.
This compact design includes wide bezels for better grip, an ergonomic page-turn button, and a textured back for enhanced comfort. Moreover, the water-repellent finish offers added protection against spills and light rain, making these devices suitable for outdoor reading.
The Go 7 is currently available for preorder at a price of $249.99 in the U.S. and European markets, while the Go Color 7 will retail for $279.99 once it becomes available. Both models come in black and white, with the Go Color 7 adding a navy blue option.
These features position Boox as a strong contender in the eReader market, targeting readers who seek both functionality and a premium display experience.
