Motorola has unveiled its latest smartphone, the Edge 2025, aiming to redefine user experience with advanced AI features and an elegant, durable design. This new model features a striking 6.7-inch Super HD pOLED display powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip and a robust 50MP primary camera, promising impressive photo capabilities. The Edge 2025, set for release on June 5 at a price of $549, maintains the familiar curved-glass aesthetic but offers improved resolution—about 13% more than its predecessors—along with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. This device is designed for durability, adhering to MIL-STD-810H military standards to resist extreme temperatures, drops of up to 1.5 meters, and high-altitude conditions.
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i adds an extra layer of protection against scratches and impacts, while the soft leather back provides a stylish touch. In terms of cameras, the Edge 2025 is equipped with a triple rear camera system anchored by the 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, enabling users to capture vibrant images even in low-light settings. The ultrawide lens, now at 50MP, features Macro Vision for close-up shots, and there’s also a 10MP telephoto camera with Super Zoom abilities. Additionally, the selfie camera has been upgraded to 50MP, a significant leap from the previous generation.
The device prominently features Moto AI, allowing users to access intelligent suggestions through a dedicated AI key. This key supports various tasks, including creating custom playlists and summarizing missed notifications. The phone’s capabilities are further enhanced by its 5,200mAh battery, which offers approximately two days of usage on a single charge and supports fast and wireless charging. Motorola plans to make the Edge 2025 widely available across retailers starting June 5, including Best Buy, Amazon, and its official website, with options for consumers in Canada as well.
