Nothing has officially announced the launch date for its new flagship device, the Phone 3, which is set to be unveiled on July 1 at 1 p.m. ET.
In a recent communication with Android Central, the company confirmed the details, providing eager fans an opportunity to sign up on their official website for launch notifications. The announcement has been teased through various hints, including a video featuring the phrases “Come to play” and a visual pattern consistent with Nothing’s branding.
In a previous update, Nothing revealed that they would be phasing out their signature Glyph lights interface on the back of their devices. This has led to speculation that the Phone 3 may feature a new customizable “dots and mosaic” interface instead, potentially allowing users to personalize what appears on the rear panel.
Originally, the Phone 3 was expected to launch last year, but CEO Carl Pei confirmed the delay to focus on developing advanced AI features. Recent insights suggest that the flagship could integrate Microsoft’s Gemini AI technology, aligning with Google’s ongoing advancements in the Android ecosystem.
Pei emphasized on The Android Show that the Phone 3 aims to embody “the best of Android,” positioning it as a true flagship smartphone. Additionally, there are hints of the potential launch of Nothing’s first-ever headphones, rumored to be called “Headphones 1.”
These details were shared in a recent YouTube video showcasing the design process, though specific specifications remain under wraps. The anticipated cost for the Phone 3 is around £800, and interested individuals are encouraged to register for updates on the launch.
