Google has officially launched its “Scheduled Actions” feature in the Gemini app, specifically for subscribers of Gemini AI Pro and Ultra. This update began rolling out on June 6 and aims to simplify users’ daily routines by allowing them to automate tasks at designated times. For instance, users can ask Gemini to summarize their emails each morning, among other functionalities.
The introduction of scheduled actions represents a significant enhancement for Gemini users. In an official press release, Google highlighted that this feature is designed to streamline routine tasks, allowing for personalized updates delivered directly from Gemini. Users will have the option to instruct Gemini to perform various actions at specific times, as well as turn existing prompts into recurring tasks.
This versatility means Gemini can assist with multiple tasks, from summarizing emails to providing sports scores and important calendar updates. Scheduled actions will be easily accessible through a new section in the app’s settings. Here, users can manage their tasks, adjust schedules, or remove them entirely as needed.
Additionally, this rollout includes support for qualifying Workspace business and education plans, extending the functionality to a wider audience. Google’s commitment to enhancing Gemini does not stop with the scheduled actions. The company is planning further upgrades, including the introduction of the Deep Think and Flash enhancements for Gemini’s 2.5 models.
These upgrades are expected to improve the AI’s performance significantly, making it faster and more efficient. The Deep Think model, which will be introduced in the Gemini 2.5 Pro version, aims to enhance the AI’s reasoning capabilities by encouraging it to consider multiple hypotheses before delivering responses. As these advancements take shape, Google’s ongoing efforts to refine Gemini promise to create a more responsive and intelligent assistant for users.
