Samsung has begun rolling out the second beta of One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, for its Galaxy S25 series smartphones. This update is now available in several regions, including Germany, Korea, Poland, and the U.K. The new beta introduces enhancements and bug fixes alongside the latest June security patch.
The initial One UI 8 beta was released last month, and this second iteration aims to address numerous issues while also adding new features. The update is substantial, with a reported size of approximately 1236MB. It specifically targets the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra models, and includes version numbers S938U1UEU4ZYF3, S938U1OYM4ZYF3, and S938U1UEU4BYF3.
Among the new features is a user feedback option designed to improve interpreter performance. Furthermore, several bugs have been resolved, including text alignment issues with the Now Brief feature, improvements to widgets, and fixes related to fingerprint unlocking. Various errors in the Galaxy AI, Clock app, and camera app have also been addressed.
In addition to the second beta rollout, the first beta is expanding to India and Poland, where it has already gone live. This update is notably larger at 3.6GB and also includes the June 2025 security patch. While currently limited to the flagship S25 series, there are indications that the One UI 8 beta will soon be available for older models, including the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, with expected releases in the coming weeks.
Samsung continues to enhance the user experience for its devices, ensuring that Galaxy users receive the latest underlying software improvements and security features.
