OnePlus is reportedly preparing to launch a new budget tablet known as the OnePlus Pad Lite. This device is positioned as a successor to the OnePlus Pad Go and is specifically aimed at the affordable Android tablet market. Recent leaked renders indicate that the Pad Lite will feature an 11-inch display, a MediaTek Helio G100 processor, and a robust 9340mAh battery. The OnePlus Pad Lite is expected to come pre-installed with Android 15 and will likely offer modest camera specifications, comprising a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
In terms of design, it may be available in an Aero Blue color, with an accompanying folio cover. In addition to its aesthetic similarities to earlier models like the OnePlus Pad Go, the new tablet includes a 1920 x 1080 resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which should provide smooth visuals. On the hardware front, it is anticipated to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, supported by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with options for additional storage likely available at launch. The dimensions of the device are reported to be 254.9 x 166.5 x 7.4mm, weighing about 539 grams.
Although the OnePlus Pad Lite marks a new entry in the budget tablet segment, the changes from its predecessor appear to be somewhat minimal in terms of design and features. The official launch date remains unclear, but the excitement surrounding this new device is palpable, especially as it aims to compete with established options like the iPad.
