Oakley and Meta have collaborated to launch the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses, which are designed specifically for athletes and sports enthusiasts. These innovative “Performance AI glasses” are built to enhance your physical activities, giving you access to cutting-edge technology while keeping you engaged in your environment.
The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses are equipped with a 3K Ultra HD camera that allows users to film their runs, rides, or tricks hands-free. Additionally, the glasses include open-ear speakers, which deliver music and podcasts without blocking outside sounds.
There are six frame options available, with prices starting at $399 for standard models and a limited edition featuring gold accents priced at $499. Since the idea of a collaboration between Meta and Oakley has been circulating since January, the launch of the Oakley Meta HSTN feels like a natural evolution in smart eyewear.
This partnership combines Oakley’s reputation for high-performance gear with Meta’s advanced technology, catering to a demographic that demands functionality alongside style. In terms of features, the Meta HSTN is well-equipped.
Besides the Ultra HD camera, the glasses come with built-in AI capabilities, allowing users to engage with the device during their activities to check the weather or capture a video. Battery life is impressive, boasting 8 hours of active use and 19 hours on standby, with an additional 48 hours provided by the charging case.
A quick 20-minute charge can provide 50% battery life when you’re short on time. True to Oakley’s brand identity, the glasses also offer PRIZM lenses that enhance colors and contrast, making the viewing experience more vivid.
With multiple styles to choose from, including options for prescription lenses, the Oakley Meta HSTN is set to release in the US, Canada, and parts of Europe this summer.
