Samsung has initiated the rollout of the June security update for a variety of Galaxy mobile devices, including the latest Galaxy S25 series. This update addresses 19 moderate-risk vulnerabilities along with several significant semiconductor issues that have been identified. The update rollout started with the Galaxy S21 FE and extends up to the Galaxy S25 series models, including the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The June update is part of Samsung’s monthly security patches.
Reportedly, it resolves 19 vulnerabilities from the previous firmware, none of which are classified as critical. Additionally, some semiconductor patches specifically tackle high-risk vulnerabilities impacting applications that operate on Android versions 13, 14, and 15. The Galaxy A series phones, including the A36, A54, and A55, are also receiving this update. It’s important to note that the update rollout appears to be gradual and may proceed at a slower pace compared to previous months’ patches.
On another front, Samsung is advancing with the One UI 8 iteration. While the company took considerable time with the One UI 7 rollout, it seems determined to expedite the release of One UI 8. The second beta version for the Galaxy S25 devices has already been made available, alongside the recently launched One UI 8 Watch beta. With the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event approaching, Samsung is expected to unveil new additions to its foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, as well as the Galaxy Watch 8 series.
Overall, Samsung is actively working to enhance both the security and user experience for its devices ahead of significant launches.
