Xiaomi has teased its upcoming Mix Flip 2, and early benchmarks suggest it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The rumored specifications indicate that the device will come with at least 12GB of RAM and run on Android 15. The Mix Flip 2 is expected to feature a primary folding display measuring 6.85 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a smaller external display of 4.01 inches. Rumors about the Mix Flip 2’s capabilities are picking up steam, with notable details emerging through Geekbench tests.
The phone seems to maintain a design similar to its predecessor, the Mix Flip, including a prominent cover screen and high-quality Leica cameras. Different finishes are anticipated, adding a touch of sophistication to the design. The Mix Flip 2, internally named Xiaomi 2505APX7BC, scored 2835 in single-core performance and 8550 in multi-core performance during its benchmarking. It is integrated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, which has become the standard for high-performance Android devices.
This move signifies Xiaomi’s commitment to ensuring that the Mix Flip 2 stands out among its competitors. Expected features include dual 50MP primary cameras and a battery capacity that could range between 5100mAh and 5600mAh, depending on the market. The phone is also tipped to support fast charging capabilities of 67W wired and 50W wireless. With a potential launch date as early as June 26, Xiaomi’s Mix Flip 2 may debut just before Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7, scheduled for July 9.
This timing could create strong competition in the clamshell smartphone market, making the Mix Flip 2 a highly anticipated release.
