Samsung’s Good Lock has officially been released for Galaxy users around the globe on the Play Store. This launch allows any Galaxy device owner to download and utilize this customizable launcher, showcasing a complete redesign that enhances usability and aesthetics. The recent global roll-out of Good Lock coincides with the release of Samsung’s One UI 7.
In an announcement made earlier this year, Samsung hinted at the upcoming changes and the broader availability of Good Lock. The redesign is visually striking, presenting users with a refreshed main plug-in page that provides quick access to “Extensions” and device “Gestures,” presented in small, user-friendly bubbles. While most previous plug-ins remain available, there’s a notable change in the layout; the plug-in page features a vibrant banner with the tagline “Your Galaxy Your Way.”
Additionally, the “You” tab has been revamped to include clearly defined categories such as “Favorites” and “Settings in Effect,” enhancing the overall navigation experience. However, users have reported some inconsistencies with device compatibility on the Play Store. Although the platform indicates compatibility issues for devices like the Galaxy S25 and others, it seems the Galaxy S24 can successfully download Good Lock if it is running on One UI 7.
Some users even noted difficulties installing the launcher on devices like the Fold 6, indicating that Samsung may need to address specific technical issues. Samsung’s commitment to enhancing user experience is evident, and after the initial problems are resolved, Good Lock is expected to offer an array of customization options, solidifying its position as a valuable tool for Galaxy users. This global launch marks a significant milestone for the application, providing users with a unique and tailored experience to personalize their devices.
