Recent rumors suggest that Samsung is planning to expand its Galaxy Tab S10 series with the introduction of a “Tab S10 Lite.” This new version is expected to offer a more budget-friendly price point, potentially costing less than the current Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
Reports indicate that it could feature an older Exynos SoC, specifically the Exynos 1380 5G processor, which was originally designed for midrange devices. The Exynos 1380 chip, released around 2023, is paired with the Arm Mali G68 GPU and supports features like 144Hz refresh rate displays at Full HD Plus resolution.
Additionally, there are indications that the Tab S10 Lite may come in both cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity variants. Looking ahead, there are also claims that Samsung could make significant changes to the Galaxy Tab S11 series.
Speculation points to the possible removal of the Galaxy Tab S11 Plus from the lineup, which would leave just the standard Tab S11 and the Tab S11 Ultra. Rumors suggest that both tablets might be equipped with MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400 chip, but details on display sizes and other specifications remain unclear.
Given the recent launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, the anticipated Lite model could be priced lower than its FE counterparts, which launched at $499 for the base model and $649 for the Plus version. The previous Galaxy Tab S10 series had an unconventional release, lacking a standard base model, which left many users confused about the options available.
If Samsung is indeed aiming to provide a more compact device in its lineup, it may lead to further uncertainty in the market.
