The OnePlus Watch 3 has recently seen a significant price adjustment in the U.S. Initially launched at a hefty $500, the price has now been lowered to $350. This change comes after President Trump announced the exemption of tariffs on electronics, which contributed to the reassessment of the watch’s pricing. The OnePlus Watch 3 was introduced to the market earlier this month with a notably high price tag, while prices remained stable in other countries.
The initial increase was widely speculated to be a direct response to the U.S.-China trade conflict and the imposition of tariffs on imported products. However, the announcement of tariff exemptions provided relief to the company and its potential customers. In correspondence with Android Central, Spenser Blank, the Head of Marketing & Communications at OnePlus, noted that the price was initially set at $499 due to market conditions. Following adjustments in their supply chain, OnePlus was able to offer the Watch 3 at a more favorable price of $349.99, which they confirmed is the final price moving forward.
Additionally, for customers who purchased the watch at the higher price, OnePlus has committed to refunding the $170 difference directly to their payment method. Blank emphasized the company’s dedication to transparency and responsiveness in the current market climate. The OnePlus Watch 3 is available at its new price on the official OnePlus website and has garnered praise for its impressive features, such as long battery life, robust health tracking, and an innovative rotating crown. It aims to rectify the issues of prior models while enhancing the user experience with its advanced specifications and Wear OS 5 capabilities.
