Recent rumors regarding the Galaxy Tab S10 ‘Lite’ suggest that Samsung is ramping up its development, with the tablet now reportedly moving into the software testing phase. This new information was shared by a tipster named Alfaturk, indicating that the device is being tested with One UI 7, which is based on Android 15.
The development status was noted on Samsung’s servers, adding credibility to these claims. It appears that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite might be positioned for a launch alongside Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 series.
However, there are concerns about the hardware specifications. The tablet is expected to utilize the older Exynos 1380 chipset, which has drawn mixed reactions from potential customers.
Some users have expressed disappointment at the thought of this two-year-old processor being used in the new device. Benchmark tests for the Tab S10 Lite reportedly yielded a single-core score of 782 and a multi-core score of 2,637.
As previously speculated, the ‘Lite’ designation indicates a more affordable model compared to flagship offerings. The Tab S10 Lite is likely to come in both Wi-Fi and cellular variants, similar to previous models.
Although the display size is still uncertain, previous models like the Tab S10 FE featured a 10.9-inch screen, suggesting the new version may have similar dimensions. Given that the Tab S10 FE and S10 Plus FE were priced at $499 and $649, respectively, there is anticipation that the Lite version will take pricing even lower.
If the launch coincides with the Tab S11 series, we may have to wait until fall 2025 for an official unveiling.
